Are you ready?????
My last post I posted a picture of me in a cute little SIZE 4 (!!!!) jean skirt I bought while I was pregnant. And I explained what I wasn't doing to get myself into that size 4. Well now I am going to give you all my secrets on how over the past 4 weeks I lost 8 pounds. OK are you ready?????

I ate clean, nutritious whole food and exercised!!!
WHEW!!! Are you blown away??!!!
Not so exciting huh? When it comes to fat loss, unless you are going for extreme leanness for a competition, there is not much more you need to do. People love to make it complicated, making it seem like rocket science or brain surgery. I've done it myself. But it's not, it's extremely simple. You need to burn more calories than you take in. All the fad diets/pills/shakes/etc, sure they work for the time being, but what does your body learn from it? As soon as you stop eating only shakes for your meals or you stop taking those diet pills or you deter from whatever diet of the week you are on, the fat loss will come back and sometimes even more.
My food consists of lean protein (fish, chicken, lean beef), veggies, fruit and believe it or not oatmeal. YES I ATE CARBS!!!! Did I crave ice cream? Sure. Did I want chips and guac? Sure. But I also craved fitting into my size 4 denim skirt.
My workouts consist of strength training with heavy weights. Yes ladies please put those pink 3-5 pound dumbbells down. They don't do anything for you! You will not "bulk" up lifting heavy, we don't have the hormones to do it. You will however get bigger if you are lifting but not cleaning up your diet. I am going to dedicate an entire post to that...stay tuned! And I also did cardio. Not hours upon hours, 30-45 min 4 times per week.
Again, all of this is simple so stop trying to re-invent the wheel. Eat clean, whole foods and exercise. It's that simple.
